Fly with Caring Crew to Accra, Ghana, for our upcoming SOAR event! We will be partnering with Global Wellness Mission Apaapa Community Center to help the children of Labadi. Volunteers will be hosting programs focusing on health, nutrition, physical activity, and education for school age children.

About the event

This September 14-20, Caring Crew is excited to bring a group of volunteers to Accra, Ghana, to partner with the nonprofit Global Wellness Mission Apaapa Community Center to help the children of Labadi. Very similar to our own mission statement, Global Wellness Mission’s aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of global communities by bridging the inequality of wellness. > > Our small group of volunteers will spend several days putting on health, nutrition, sustainability, physical activity programs and education lessons for the school aged children. Additionally, we will bring medical supplies to help a local clinic. The goal is to share tools to educate and encourage a more balanced, thoughtful, and healthy existence for the people of this Labadi community.

Our team will leave out of JFK airport on September 14th on DL0156 JFK-ACC, departing at 11:45PM. 

(FLIGHTS TO ACCRA ARE FREQUENTLY PAY LOAD OPTIMIZED. Positive space or purchased tickets HIGHLY recommended). 

*Please note: -the following costs will be at the responsibility of the individual - flight, visa, volunteer fee of $160 USD, and all personal purchases.

*All persons 18 years-old and above arriving in Ghana will be required to provide evidence of full vaccination for a COVID-19 vaccine. FULL VACCINATION STATUS IS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A VISA. A person is considered fully vaccinated when he or she has taken the full dose of vaccines approved and registered by the FDA of Ghana. You need two doses of AstraZeneca,  Pfizer, Moderna, or Sputnik V to be declared as fully vaccinated. One dose of Johnson and Johnson  vaccine is required to be fully vaccinated. Health screening procedures are in place at airports and other ports of entry for unvaccinated travelers only. 

Yellow Fever vaccine is required at lesat 10 days from the proposed date of travel and not more than 10 years before entering Ghana.

*It may take 24 hours-20 days to apply for the visa (please apply ASAP once confirmed on the team).

*Travel insurance is not required, but is recommended.
