About the event
Caring Crew is so excited to work with our friends at Mario's Project, a charity started in 2020 to help combat food insecurities for families severely impacted by the Pandemic. We have partnered with them twice already this year, and this is such a special opportunity to serve others. We will be sorting foodstuffs like coffee, rice, flour, beans, and tomato sauce into large bags, then delivering them throughout the local communities of Guatemala. It's a joy to get to meet families and hear their stories. We have truly loved this partnership and are thrilled to be going back! Each bag can feed a family of four for an entire week, so this work is changing lives!
We will have limited spots available, so the team will be made on a first-come, first-serve basis according to who signs up first. Please know there is a nonrefundable volunteer fee of $130, covering ground transportation in Guatemala, team tee shirts, and lodging. Volunteers are responsible for paying for their own meals and any additional shopping they may choose to do. Once the team is verified, we will email out waivers to each volunteer.
Please know that this trip is completely voluntary and each participant is responsible for their transportation to and from Guatemala (transportation throughout Guatemala is arranged for us and is covered in the volunteer fee), and it will be the volunteer's responsibility to be off work on the days of the trip.
We hope you can join us! Mario's Project is such a beautiful example of people coming together during hard times to truly meet the needs around them, and we love being able to play a part in their joy-filled work!
